Rated 2 out of 5 by Momof2 from Would be great except that plastic stirring piece left horrible taste in food. I have owned several crock-pot products so I was excited about the stirring feature of this one. The first time I used it was with the metal stirring mechanism...great results. The second time was with the plastic piece....the plastic taste permeated my sauce and ruined it (yes, I did pre-wash all pieces before use). The taste has also gotten into the seal of the top, so I cannot use that either now. I've tried everything to get rid of the plastic smell to no avail. Luckily, I have an old cover and am able to use the pot and take advantage of the programmable timing feature. Very disappointed that I can no longer use the top with the stirring feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by massmom from Stoneware cracked! Received this crockpot as a Christmas gift and have used it a handful of times. imagine my dismay when I removed the stoneware from the crockpot last evening to wash it out by hand and discovered it was CRACKED down the side! owned a previous crockpot for years with no problem. I do not have the receipt as this was a gift. Too bad for me. Like the timing features and warming as well as stirring. Never in the dishwasher, stored in its own cabinet, handled only by me, used maybe 5 times. Incredibly disappointing and have to wonder what has happened to the manufacturer's quality controls.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LizR from Beware! stir paddle made food taste like plastic Bought this a few months back and loved it at first but had only used the metal stir paddle for larger stews. I used the general stir paddle this weekend for chille and it completely ruined the entire batch it smelled and tasted like plastic. I washed the stirir before use so I don't know why I had this issue. I had to throw the entire batch away which was awful since I had guests over for the start of the NFL season. I don't know why the stirring paddle is made out of plastic in the first place and not metal like the other attachment. The inside of the crockpot still smells like plastic even though I've cleaned it twice. I might have to trash the whole thing. Very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Felicia from Nice Product This crock pot is unique in that it has a stirring attachment. I like the way this crock pot looks, very attractive. It has a great digital readout that you can use to set the timer and also lets you see how much time is left. It has a great feature that when the timer is done, it automatically sets itself to "warm." I like the locking lid and it comes with two stirring attachments. The stirring mechanism is okay. It doesn't really do a full stir, but swishes the food back and forth. It has its own controls so you can do a manual stir. It automatically stirs the food for 5 minutes every hour. I like that you can use it without the stirring attachment as well. It is a nice crockpot overall. NOTE: I was given this product to test.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lpenny from Good product, great quality I like the crockpot itself. Don't know if I would purchase just because it stirs. I did not like the way the lid clamped, I prefer it to clip to handles on the side. It didn't seem like if felt secure and had a good seal. I use my crock-pot more for meats then I do for soups or chilies, so the stirring feature would not be something that caused me to purchase. The look of the machine is great; love the stainless steel and digital settings. I'm not crazy about having two plugs (one for crock and one for stir mechanism), because it means I have to unplug something in my kitchen to use the entire outlet for the crock-pot. Overall, it is well made, looks good and works well...just isn't something I would purchase on my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SusanK from Digital Crock-Pot With iStir I've had my iStir Crock-Pot for several weeks now. I love being able to stir my chowder, soup, or chili without ever having to take the lid off the pot. This means heat loss is minimized, my soups haven't scorched, and the contents are more uniformly heated and cooked. Everything but the Crock-Pot base unit and the motor for the stirrer go into the dishwasher (I put everything except the Crock on the top rack), and comes out looking like new. Great product! Now they just need to add the iStir option to the WeMo enabled Crock-Pot! (and maybe drop the price of the WeMo enabled pot ... a bit too steep for me) Although, really, if I had to choose between just the iStir capability, or just WeMo, it would be iStir, hands down, no question.

Rated 5 out of 5 by moma b from My search is over! Many years ago my husband and I attended a business associate annual chili party. He had a crock pot that stirred the cheese dip. I asked where and when he bought it and he didn't know. I mentioned this to my sister who thinks I am hard to buy for. ( I am not I like everything.) She called the company an they said they stopped making those in the 1980's. I have been looking for a stirring crock pot and I hit the jackpot! I found it and bought 4. I kept 1 and gave 3 as gifts. I love it. I used it today for the first time and made beef stew. Loved it. You have nothing that builds up on the side walls. The stirring is fantastic. I was able to be gone for hours and not have to worry. The 3 I gave away were a hit. I love mine. It works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MamaDonna from Crock Pot My favorite crock pot recipe is for Swiss Steak. Coming home from work to experience the aroma of that meal filling the house is so theraputic. So wonderful to not have to put down my purse and start supper as it is already deliciously prepared in my old crock pot. One of the reasons I have shied away from recipes that needed to be stirred is because I wasn't home to provide that needed element; however, it would be great to be able to have a stirring mechanism that would stir soups, etc., and then I could utilize all the delicious recipes. This is a boon to all cooks.
