
Chicken with 40 Cloves Garlic

Time on High: 4 to 6 hours Time on Low: 8 to 10 hours This is my go-to recipe when I'm wanting something that makes me feel good. The fresh herbs being slow cooked also makes your home smell delicious.
Ingredients
2 Sprigs fresh thyme
2 Sprigs fresh rosemary
2 Sprigs fresh sage
2 Sprigs fresh Italian parsley
40 Cloves garlic, unpeeled
1 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon ground black pepper
4 Pound whole chicken
2 Stalks celery, sliced
3 Carrots, sliced up
1/2 Cup chicken broth
1 Loaf French bread, sliced
Instructions
Place 1 sprig thyme, rosemary, sage and parsley in chicken cavity.
Place celery in stoneware. Put chicken on top of celery.
Add garlic and carrots around chicken.
Add 1/2 Cup chicken broth.
Chop remaining herbs. Sprinkle herbs, salt and pepper over chicken.
Cover; cook on Low 8 to 10 hours or on High 4 to 6 hours.
