Rated 3 out of 5 by Gerall from Confusing to use Just bought cooker and went to use it today. Have no idea, and owners manual doesnt say, what the settings are. Instead of having text, there is a I, an II, and what I assume is keep warm. I will assume that I is low, and II is high, but dont really know.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Grey_Wolf from Not happy Not very pleased with this. I bought the large pot to upgrade from my old four or five quart and have soup going in it now. My soup is boiling all day on the low setting! Where is the SLOW part? I've read the replies and yes I have it over three quarters full. I hope I can return this thing as it is useless as a SLOW cooker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BigWave Dave from Cooks Too Hot! After cooking 3 roasts now I'm finding it difficult to get a lower heat. I end up having to turn it off during cooking and then back on as I can see the juice boiling after an hour on low. I got this one as it's bigger than my old one and now wish I still had my old one still. So far I ended up with 3 tough roasts. My old Crock Pot made my roast fall apart - not this one. Today I'm trying the lowest setting (the keep warm setting lol). I've read the other reviews and Crock-Pot response is that the newer models cook at a higher heat. Well I'm telling you Crock-Pot that you need to go back to your old specs with lower heat settings or a gradual dial like on a pancake griddle perhaps - sayin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JenniferHopeKelly from Cooks way too hot! I used the low setting (I) so simmer bone broth, and it was a raging boil! How can I simmer in this "slow cooker"? Jennifer

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terri from Great produced! I bought this crock pot/little dipper set and though I've not used the dipper yet I have use the crock pot and I love it. The last one I had was not a crock pot brand but it lasted 10 yrs so I have high hopes for this one. I love how big it is, all the recipes I'll be able to make in this 8 qt pot. Plus the shipping was so very fast and It's been a great buy, I would recommend this crock pot to all my friends and family!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Slowcooklover from Cracked on 3rd use Received this for christmas havnt gotten to much use out of it. Went to use it for the 3rd time and about 2 hours into cooking i heard odd sounds thought it was just the stew cooking. Then i noticed liquid underneath the slowcooker, assuming it was a perhaps user error by spilling, looked underneath and saw a hairline crack. Also!! It cooks way too dam fast. So many slow cookers recipe say 6-8 hours while this cooks in 1 half/2 hours. Cant really leave it to cook all day unless you want over done. Kind of upset because had a smaller slowcooker that cooked slow and got rid of it and asked for it as a gift.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jklaz from Cermaic cracked I bought this after searching for a simple, large size crock pot that would fit a whole chicken for roasting. The second time I used this crock pot I heard a loud crack when I added warm water to the pot. There is a long crack on the bottom and around the side of the ceramic and I have been unable to use this crock pot ever since. I don't see the ceramic part offered in the parts section so now I'm left with a useless crock pot after only one use. Extremely disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by quackbunny from Dumbest markings for heat settings ever! so frustrating- im here AGAIN, in search of the translation to heat setting of I and II !! i have the electronic version, and as if the markings weren't stupid enough with the original manual version, they continued the exact same numbering on subsequent versions. Every time i use it ( infrequently) i have to google the settings again, I wrote on it with permanent marker before but it came off the metal finish. Here I am again, and I'm sure I'll be back. This time Im putting it on mediacal tape and sticking it on,
